Airdrie United manager Kenny Black has admitted that he is keen to extend the New Broomfield stay of on-loan midfielder Marco Andreoni.

The Scotland under-19 midfielder is on a one-month loan deal from Dundee United but is due to go back to the Tannadice side at the end of January. However, Black is keen to sort out a deal with United to extend that spell.

Speaking to the Advertiser, Kenny said:

I have spoken to the lad and Marco is enjoying his time here. I think he has shown in the two games that he has a lot to offer and I’ve been delighted with his contribution so far.

I think he is keen to stay and if we couldn’t keep him until the end of the season, then I’d like to have him until the end of next month.

But he is a Dundee United player and it will be up to Craig Levein to decide what he thinks is best for the lad.”

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that defender James Sharp’s contract has been terminated by the club.
