Airdrie sign Scott McLaughlin

Scott McLaughlin has become Airdrie United’s latest signing, joining fellow newcomers Paul Di Giacomo and Joe Cardle in the Diamonds ranks for the 2008-09 season.

The 5′9″, 11.4 stone midfielder joins Airdrie after being released by Greenock Morton at the end of last season. The 24-year old previously played for Livingston and Hamilton Accies.

Scott is described as a battling, ball-winning midfielder who is not afraid to try his hand from distance. He is a welcome addition to the Diamonds side and is likely to feature against Kilmarnock on Saturday.
